In terms of what we are looking for, the must haves would include a master bedroom and laundry room on the main floor, a small room near the entry for receiving guests, we call it the "Home Teacher Room," a large kitchen/family room area on the main floor that would accommodate all 25 of us when we are all together, and privacy in the back yard!
We don't want to be able to see our neighbors and we don't want our neighbors to see us when we are in the back yard. We of course would enjoy a lake view, but that isn't a must. We would include a large downstairs family room with a few extra bedrooms on the must have list. We would prefer a rambler but a second story isn't a deal breaker. We would also really love an office on the main floor, but that isn't a deal breaker either. We are trying to stay below the $500,000 price, but if a home came up that was perfect and it was higher than that, we would consider it.
