Searching for Oceanfront or waterfront property on Oak Island
After previewing several areas we have set our sights on Oak Island (possibly Ocean Isle or Holden as well) to find our ideal Beach House. We are partial to Oceanfront but would also consider an alternative that is waterfront (Intracoastal or Creek) with great water views.
We would prefer to find an existing home but would also consider a lot to build on.
We are looking for a minimum of 3 bedrooms (prefferably at least 4+). If the property is fully updated that would be great but we are not afraid to do some extensive remodeling as well.

We are looking for our next home that we can improve over time with some sweat equity. Ideally, this home will have a decent-sized backyard, on a quiet street, with 3+ bedrooms and 2+ bathrooms. For the right home, we can go up to $1.2M. Also, we can accommodate a seller's timeframe.

We are moving towards retirement and trasitioning more of our daily business responsibilites to our children to pass the torch. As such we will have more time to travel and NC has always been among our favorite places to visit.

Who's got our dream beach house on Oak Island???
We live in the Triangle area and have been coming to OKI for many years and are ready to get a place of our own... probably should have done this years ago but hey... we are ready now.
We are open to options and like different things about the Island that could all work for us.
We are open to Beach front of first few rows and would preffer to be on the Ocean side of Oak Island drive but for the right property we would also consider something closer to the waterway or interior of the island.
